After the custom chimney cap is fabricated, installation can begin. We take every precaution when installing your custom solution. The first step is to construct the foundation of the chimney and begin building the chimney up.
Next, we install the chimney liner which protects the masonry and improves draft efficiency. Flashing is then installed around the base of the chimney which prevents water from seeping into the structure. Finally, the chimney cap is installed followed by a thorough inspection to make sure all standards are met.
Depending on the roof pitch, location of the chimney, and many other factors, we may need to take additional safety measures to ensure a safe and successful installation. This can include setting up scaffolding, boom truck placement and assistance, and following all important safety measures and practices during the process.
Installations can take several days depending on the setup, and the scope of the project. Additionally, adverse weather conditions can also play a part in determining the length of the installation process. Regardless of the challenges, Lindemann is here to communicate with you every step of the way. When the chimney is finished, we leave the job site clean and tidy and in better shape than when we arrived.
